Residents will decide on November 6, 2012, whether to authorize a 26-year, $46 million
bond that would allow 266 miles of substandard roads to be upgraded in three years. If voters approve
the bond, the money now spent patching problem spots can be redirected into a consistent maintenance program.
Shown on the map in red are roads that, if the bond is approved, will be included in the 266 mile road
rehabilitation project. Also in red are the roads which will be part of the extended maintenance program for
the next seven years. Roads NOT highlighted in red most likely have recently been worked on or are in very good
condition and will be maintained in later years.
If your road is NOT highlighted in red, maintenance of your road will take place more than seven years out.
Roadways that were recently rehabilitated (within the last six years) will not appear highlighted in red.
Additionally there are approximately 100 miles of roads east of Interstate 75 are not part of the road bond, and will not be rehabilitated.
There is no infrastructure on these roads, including electricity, water and sewer.
